You are a legend. I heard its so hard to quit
Thank you, but it's not that hard to quit if the method works for you. IMO the most important first step is to realize that there's no physical nicotine addiction. Every night when a smoker goes to sleep, he or she stops smoking for up to 8 or even more hours without withdrawals. If he/she tries that during the day - it will not work without willpower. Smoking is pure brainwashing and psychological dependancy.

I quit smoking thanks to Allen Carr. I didn't visit his seminar, I just read his book. It worked at the first attempt and I never looked back. 'Unkle Adams' talks about the book in the video below and also gives the advice to replace that addiction with another. Many people do this unwittingly, but they do it wrong: They stop smoking and start eating more instead.

So what do you call it when you get physical symptoms as a result of not getting as much nicotine as you’ve gotten accustomed to if not physical dependency? :susPepe:

Daily life example: You have a test and are very nervous because of that. What happens? Maybe you start sweating, your hands might shaking, maybe you even feel nauseous or get stomachache. Are there any physical reasons for that discomforts? Or are they just results of your mental condition because of the test?

No but when smoking cigarettes there is a substance going into your body that it's reacting to, and generally with those substances your body changes it's functioning based on the levels it expects. It's more like saying if someone consistently uses drugs that they get no physical changes if the levels change, only psychological ones. Physical symptoms can be a result of psychological reasons but when something physically occurs in the body because of a change relating to something physical that's not the same thing. After all, sometimes physical reactions are due to physical things as well. You wouldn't say that consuming bad food and getting sick is a psychological reaction.

I should be more precise: I don't believe that the nicotine addiction is strong enough to avoid going cold turkey. On the contrary, if you believe there is a nicotine addiction at all, you will even amplify the feeling of being dependent on cigarettes. If you can't stop smoking permanently, you'll always have an excuse: "It didn't work because of my biochemistry!". Nicotine is addictive, but that effect is neglibible compared to the psychological effects of smoking.

Myth No 4: The physical addiction to nicotine makes it difficult to stop

It naturally follows from what we have discussed that it’s not nicotine addiction, or more precisely, the chemical addiction to nicotine that makes quitting difficult. What is responsible for the difficulty is the mental addiction which causes us to feel that we’re making a sacrifice, that we’re being forced to give up a genuine pleasure or crutch and that we are therefore being deprived.

It’s very hard to overcome this mental addiction by willpower and it certainly can’t be overcome by pills, potions, drugs, needles, bioresonance or indeed any other physical intervention. What is required is understanding. It’s only once you understand the nature of a problem that you can set about solving it.

The psychological addiction to cigarettes can only be successfully removed by a psychological method of quitting.

We may survive temporarily on willpower but it tends to be a traumatic experience and before long the sense of loss and deprivation usually makes us cave in.
To be honest, I never thought about the physical addiction of nicotine after I read Allen's book. You might say that I ignored scientific facts. But it worked for me that way: after I stopped smoking, I had no withdrawals.

ew, no! I once rode with a smoking cab driver, and the whole vehicle smelled like rotten fish or something. I almost suffocated. (it wasn't an Uber, this was way before that)
