I swear I must have been born with a pen and paper in my hand because, throughout my whole life, I've always been interested in writing and stories. My interest in books in general has flown in and out over the years but one thing stayed true and that is writing is something I love. Sadly, as a young and passionate writer, I eventually discovered Wattpad which is like the exclusive fanfiction counterpart of that Scholastic book fair thing they always did in my 1st grade. Now don't be fooled, I'm not one of those "fanfic isn't real writing" snobs. I write fanfiction, but some of you need help.
I especially hate when writers put what is essentially rape in their stories. But first and foremost I don't care if you write noncons just put a warning in the chapter or tag it so I don't have to read halfway in and find out.
Do I think it's icky? Yes, totally but outta sight outta mind honey.
But my main problem is normal smuts that just shoehorn rape-esque elements. There have been times I stopped reading a fanfic because of seeing stuff like this:

"No! Stop (character) please" *the character continues*
*character A pushes character B away from them but character B continues making advances*
*character A sneaks in character B's room and makes unprovoked advances*
*character A doing stuff to character B while they're asleep*
Many other examples but I already feel icky just writing this out as these get my point across
I know lots of these writers are young and are desensitized to these themes but being an oblivious little kid doesn't erase how harmful this is for people to see.
I'll say it right now and not repeat myself
Pushing yourself onto someone after they've said no ISN'T FUCKING RIGHT.
Continuing to pressure someone into doing things after they've declined ISN'T FUCKING RIGHT.
Doing things to people in situations where they can't say no or YES ISN'T FUCKING RIGHT.
This shit is bordeline, no, OUTRIGHT romanticizing rape and I don't like it at all. So please for future reference, stop doing this.

i hate it when people do fanfics like that of real people......it's disgusting....i've seen so many minsung fanfics like that...it's really scary to know that there are people out there that find pleasure in doing that.....

Many fanfition sites need better moderation or stricter guidelines, because some works are really crossing the line.

They could have good moderation but the sweaty chronically online writers would complain that it "limits their creative freedom". Like dude, you have creative freedom, but I don't think romanticizing sexual violence came with that freedom
