I'm assuming the majority(?) of fans probably would like instant gratification.
Also, and I'm not familiar with how JYP releases, but did they always do this for the previous albums?

A longer pre-order period helps fansites and fans to organize group orders better
Also there are many fans who first need to save up some money or wait for their paycheck before they can order something

And yes, it’s usually common for a pre-order period to be that long (or it should be)
