Here's the full update for those without Twitter:
FROM YG

Hello, this is Yang Hyun Suk from YG.

It's been about five months since I last reached out to you. I've usually shared updates about our artists through YG ANNOUNCEMENT videos, but with a busy production schedule, I'm reaching out in writing this time.

Today, I'd like to briefly share a few updates that many of you have been waiting for.

First, some news about BABYMONSTER's new music. On October 23, BABYMONSTER will release a new digital single, 'DESERVE'. This will be their first new song in approximately four months, following 'SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA'. Although 'DESERVE' is a slower-paced song, it carries an intensity unlike anything BABYMONSTER has released before. Combining BABYMONSTER's delicate vocals with their explosive vocal power, the song builds to an emotional climax. I sincerely hope it will resonate deeply with all of you. We are currently aiming to release BABYMONSTER's next album early next year.

Next, some news about TREASURE's new music. Last June, TREASURE explored a variety of hip-hop styles through their mini album 'NEW WAV'. With 'NEW WAV' marking the beginning of their second chapter, TREASURE has been making its biggest changes in musical direction. On November 2, TREASURE will release a new digital single, 'SHOCK', featuring a powerful hip-hop sound. As TREASURE moves into 2027 with 'SHOCK' and the full-scale activities of their second chapter, I hope you'll continue to look forward to what's ahead and show them your love and support. Lastly, I'd like to share an update on the new groups we're preparing at YG.

We are currently preparing to debut two new groups: a five-member boy group and a four-member girl group. Alongside TREASURE and BABYMONSTER, these two groups will play an important role in shaping YG's future, and I am personally doing everything I can to ensure they are fully prepared. Both groups plan to record a number of demo songs we've been working on by the end of this year. Once their title tracks are finalized, we expect to have a clearer timeline for their debuts.

I'll be back toward the end of this year with another YG ANNOUNCEMENT video, bringing you more exciting updates and good news. To all our fans around the world, thank you from the bottom of my heart for always believing in YG artists and patiently waiting for us. Thank you. FROM YG
Bolding added by me to make it easier to find the group(s) you care about.

Really feeling for Inner Circles to not get a single update on their boys. We can safely assume they're getting nothing for the rest of 2026, so... Going on five years without a group release, six years since Mino's last solo, seven years for Jinwoo, three years for Seunghoon, and three for Seungyoon, but they also waited so long for Hoony and Yoon to even get a debut that it really undercut how successful they could be. No movies or TV shows for any of them either.

Kind of makes you wonder if YGE is just running out the rest of their contracts, like they did with 2NE1 at the end.

The confusing part is their contracts should expire this year or already did because I remember they renewed for 5 years back in 2021.
And I'm pretty sure there was nothing about them renewing again?

Honestly YGE spends all their effort to try to promote their most popular group and then will leave the others in the dust

Oh, wow, you'd think there'd be at least a goodbye notice of some kind, no matter how brief.

I get that Mino's problems have put a bit of a damper on things, but really, there's been no indication they were working on releasing anything soon anyway...

It's wild how quickly they ditch groups after their peak. Like, sure, Winner isn't as popular as they once were, but no group will ever get to the peak and stay there for all of time. Winner still has a pretty sizeable fanbase.

Yeah, especially because there's always the possibility that the group could peak again but they aren't able to due to poor company management.

There's not a single group or artist I can say they managed well.
I remember when iKON were still in the early year, YG had them doing back to back japan tours. They had them performing 2 concerts in one day for multiple dates.
They had really good soloists like Lee Hi, Katie, Blue.D. Lee Hi the only one who actually had a debut album but was still with long hiatuses doing nothing but festivals.
Blue.D had so much potential. They gave her one song she featured on other yg artists songs. But they didnt nothing with her after. She mostly puts out covers now.
I think they were forced to rush Katie's one single under the company because of her contract x.x
The only positive thing I can say about YG is they at least let their artists have all their social media handles, trademark, and youtube channel after leaving.

It's astonishing to me that their artists have been able to make as much impact despite how little content they put out, though they certainly seem to be trying to step it up with Treasure and BaeMon. Though, honestly, that may have more to do with the fact that neither group has been able to dominate the charts as effortlessly as their past acts have.

I still feel so sad for people like Lee Hi and Katie and SuPearls, etc. Like they never got enough content to even really establish a solid fanbase to carry with them outside of YGE. And the average person isn't going into idol life just to not actually sing, which I think we've seen with the amount of content the artists do release as soon as they're out from under YGE. Like TOP dropping a full studio album, the BP girls with their full albums + collabs + already working on follow-ups, etc. Like we know Lee Hi didn't want to release 1,2,3,4 and then twiddle her thumbs for three years.

ohmygod the solos put out after some of them left was insanely good.
:hold_me_gyu:Like CL's 'In the Name of Love.' I feel like this album defined a lot of my trips.
Lee Hi and Katie were able to experiment more with rnb
I've probably mentioned a million times how much i love B.I as a solo after leaving YG and iKON.
His song with Lee Hi "Savior" SOOOOO GOOD. i highly recommend it :catcry:
