Just a reminder that YG started following his wife when she was still in middle school and then essentially groomed her. He made sure her group failed so he could have her himself. Man has ALL the red flags for a pedophile. Wouldn't be surprised if these girls have a ton of creepy ass male fans when they debut.

Edited to add: I know YG and his brother no longer hold official positions in the company, but there's a good chance when a company has that influence from the top, it continues through the ranks. I worry for these girls debuting so young under the YG brand when the company is/was so deeply problematic.

i am often skeptical about the idea of minors debuting as kpop idols in general as the industry isn't exactly a safe place to grow up in but then again there's a difference between having one youngest member in that age and having a whole group made up of 14-15 year old children... what the fuck yg

As far as I know, YHS and brother still hold a fair portion of YGE's shares, so your worries are not unfounded. They certainly do not have absolute power but their influence still there.

The fact that they choose to train and debut girls at such young age is worrisome. I mean, I believe they did so in order to extend the group's lifespan ( since ageism in Korea is pretty much alive) but the psicological impact of being on the public eye, open to all kind of criticism is what scares me the most. We already know how companies deal with mental health...
