once almost 9-10 years ago, my brother said if I practiced reading a page of Hindi, he would give me a chocolate, I said I would eat the chocolate first and read after, he gave me the chocolate and I ate it but I didnt read after, I still feel so guilty about this for tricking him like that

I tricked someone I was with at the time into fearing for my life.
The situation I presented felt ridiculous, so I didn't think he'd believe me.

I try to give myself some grace for it.
I was young and I was egged into doing it by a much older woman who definitely knew better...

But I still feel bad about it.

Yeah, she was just not a great person overall
The way I worded everything makes it sound more concerning than it actually was...
I just told him about this potentially dangerous situation (that was ludicrous btw) and he got really worried about me
It was a slightly cruel joke that went too far

My family was too smart to do that. I only got whatever treat it was after reading whatever it was

For me I don’t remember anything that is clearly small. There was something that imo was and still is big that I feel guilty over that I said to my sister, but she doesn’t remember it at all so ig to her it wasn’t that big.
