No one seems to like it Im more or less happy if my dog licks me though. As long as she wasnt just chowing down on dead animal remains or poop

As someone who has a dog I can confirm she eats poop and animal remains my cat leaves behind. Though she does indeed lick her butt too. And my cats butt after he poops for that matter.

Your dog has some serious butt problems... never heard of a dog that licks a cats ass clean....

Me and my brother grew up with dogs (my parents had two German Shepherds) so we always came in contact with dog saliva. But we came in contact with all sorts of dirt. Pretty normal when you grew up in the countryside. I'm rather sure that those things helped us building up a strong immune system. People tend to be overcautious nowadays. Maybe that's the reason why there are so many autoimmune diseases these days.
