When you read an explanation for a grammar concept in your main language for a language you’re learning, but you realize you don’t know enough of your main language to understand the explanation

EXACTLY the amount of times i've had to look up english grammar questions in ENGLISH instead of spanish is crazy

@Firefly_Fairy well as a teaser the words that inspired this thread were when I was informed that one time I’d use the first ending for that word was when it’s the nominal part of a compound predicate But the thing is that English can have a similar thing, but it’s not called nominal part of a compound predicate, so even if my English grammar was impeccable, I wouldn’t know what this version means because the vocabulary is only used for the grammar of other languages
