You know what’s exceptionally disappointing? (1 Viewer)

[Ahsoka]

When you spend ages cooking something and it turns out mediocre at best and terrible at worst Didn't happen today but I was reminded of it

[dark_tranquility]

Well kudos for trying in any case.
a dish is either a hit or a miss.

[Moguri]

yeah thats really dissapointing, hopefully it does not happen again

[Hoemantic]

At least you tried your best, that's what matters

[StrayMixx]

was it a bad recipe, maybe?

[Ahsoka]

Could be, one recent case though (goulash) everyone else loved it

[Tickita]

And then I never made shrimp fried rice again

maybe they were just hungry or too nice to say anything? lol

you remind me of a story my mom told me once. When she was a newlywed, she was trying to make potato skins, but she thought you were supposed to just use the skin, not the actual potato with the skin still on. She's never tried to make them again, afaik lol

Definitely not, they wouldn't do that. Especially my littlest brother, it's a surprise when he eats my food at all, let alone says he likes it.

I never made potato skins but I would've done the same thing

I love meat and still have plenty of meat dishes that I think suck Maybe it’s different because you have fewer options but I can’t imagine you like every fruit and every vegetable and their combinations

I do have a slew of options, i mean, nuts, wholegrains, beans and lentils. Even chia, hemp and flax seeds at times. But truth be told, I don't use the oven or the microwave that often. Yes, I'm a fruit and vegetable addict, to say the least.

There’s definitely a lot of options still but I just meant that there’s fewer options for vegans ofc, barring intolerances and allergies which is another story. I like fruits so I can agree with you there But you do you, I prefer to cook but I can see benefits to less work, especially for different people
