For real My dad literally said “it’s okay for her to say stuff like gays are evil because she’s crazy (which ig means saying anything crazy is fine for her) and she’s family and loves you”. That was actually the point where I decided I’d cut her off as much as I can without making too big of a fuss. In my world having a track record of being crazy isn’t a reason to excuse it later, and if she wasn’t related then everyone would be like yeah she’s crazy let’s go somewhere else. If someone is so crazy you’d avoid them in general life, they’re crazy enough for you to avoid when they’re family.
