You've been asked to recommend anime to a new anime fan (someone who has watched a few shows, but would like some recommendations), what anime would you in your Anime Recommendations 3x3?

The anime doesn't have to be your favourite anime, just anime that you believe would be good for a newbie.


Here is my 3x3

- Black Lagoon.
- Made in Abyss.
- Natsume's Book of Friends.
- Mushishi.
- The Monogatari Series.
- Gurren Lagann.
- Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
- Angel Beats!
- Welcome to the N.H.K

A few of these shows are among my all time favourite anime. However, all of these shows I've rated very highly and I believe that each show is a good introduction to anime, as they cover multiple different genres and each show has it's own unique vibe. These are perhaps also shows that a newbie to anime wouldn't typically discover straight away.

[Villains]

Kimi Ni Todoke: it's a really cute anime (though stressful at some times) i feel like if someone has never watched anime before, they would be able to sit through this one
Death Note: it just has an interesting plot that would work for a newer anime watcher
Another: it was the first anime watched and it made me want to watch more anime soo
The Way of the Househusband: it's simple, funny, and cute. doesn't have any weird twists that most anime have which would probably be off putting for a newer fan
Banana Fish: i knooowwww it's such a heartbreaking anime but i feel like it wouldn't be a bad first watch since it's really interesting
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear: it might be weird to some people but it's just simple and cute
Tokyo Revengers: it's so good that i binged watched it (something i never do) good for a newer fan since the plot just captures you
SK8 The Infinity: interesting and not overly complicated
Do it Yourself!: it's just cute with captivating characters. though some might find it boring
