there is a kpop term I dont agree with and thats 'trash'. idk why ppl would call themselves trash. dont get me wrong, I know the meaning, but its senseless to me.

That all the companies were super amazing yeah. That's when I was a tiny baby fan that only watched the MVs and never saw any news


I had also thought OnlyOneOf and ONF were the same group for a while

until you learn anything about them, the companies look nice, training all the idols and creating the colorful kpop world

Fun thing to note is that in Korea multistanning doesn't really exist as stanning is a much bigger investment with you needing to support the idols in whatever they do as well as sign up to their fandom and you can only be signed up to 1 fandom at a time.

I've never heard of this, so not sure how true it is, but even if they can't join the fandom offically, still no noe can stop from interacting with other groups or streaming their songs / buying albums

I've never heard of this, so not sure how true it is, but even if they can't join the fandom offically, still no noe can stop from interacting with other groups or streaming their songs / buying albums

Well International fans tend to write Korea off because of a built in mindset about Asia that does affect International Kpop fans downplaying how important Korea is and thinking artists should just start ignoring Korea for the west.

It mainly comes down to defining what it means to stan a group because we don't have the same access to concerts or merchandise that Koreans have it isn't as considered as a big deal for us however where the mindset of you need to do that to be a true stan comes from is Korea.

Koreans can get any merchandise that comes out, can plan to go to concerts and can watch stuff instantly much easier without having to wait for things to be subbed or shipping costs so this results in you expected to support your fave a lot more and this just isn't sustainable across multiple groups for most people.

no, its a mix between 2 words (fan+stalker). I dont really use it in my language - especially because it partly comes from the word 'stalker'.

If I were to define stan it'd be easy to just say someone who keeps up with the group as being as casual fan means you don't look too deep into things generally but a more hardcore fan or stan in Kpops case would be someone who could tell you more like I can order my faves by age which no casual will care about that.

oh they do as it's one of those things where the ball got rolling and it's now pretty impossible to stop it so even if you got a massively viral post explaining generations you'd still have just as many people who don't see it.
