1. Howl's Moving Castle
2. Princess Mononoke
3. Spirited Away
4. Kiki's Delivery Service
5. Whisper of the Heart


honestly, grave of the fireflies also deserves to be on the list, bc it’s probably the movie that left the biggest impression on me and I think about it often
But it’s also a movie I would never watch again, so I didn’t include it

Though Miyazaki has no bad films. Kiki's is my favorite but it's a toss up from there. My local bookstore just texted me that they got the book that Studio Ghibli based Kiki's on, so I'm excited to read it too!

Definitely!! I love the way Studio Ghibli interpreted Howl's compared to the book, so they're both good but still unique stories, so I'm excited to read Kiki's!
