Its surprising though, i never logged into youtube through my phone and they know i am using that phone, i guess being logged into a google account using your phone enables them to make that match.

They might just be linking your youtube sign in from other places, to pop up on ur samsung phone if tat makes sense, i bought a cheap ass samsung when my old phone burned out from heating up n i just used the youtube app at first. It auto synced i think with my google acct signed into my phone. So i nvr got this pop up, but if i accidentally click on the youtube app or in browser i always get an ad for free trial of youtube premium which im not sure, maybe 1 mth only for me, you must be a super youtube user LOL, kekekeke.

If you logged in to Google, then basically all of your Google data, including YT is synced on the phone, though.
