Ah, I would have figured she, specifically, would be interested in going solo, just because she's always shined when given the opportunity, like when her dance duo to Bebe Rexha's song went viral! And she's always seemed to have a lot of confidence when she's the center, but it's also possible that maybe she's gotten less interested in that sort of thing over time.

As compared to, say, Lee Joon who was pretty clear from early on that being an idol was always a stepping stone to being an actor or Jeongyeon, who at least at one time said she didn't want to go solo.

I like to think that we really don't know what goes on in an idol's mind purely from what we see on camera
Like I know for example Dahyun of Twice is a lot lot more reserved compared to her on camera persona (and we only know so because both her and her fellow twice members have said so) - she also surprised a lot of people by being the first twice member to get into acting

It's also hard to know what kind of next steps an idol takes post their idol career (unless they literally come out and say so)

In terms of acting vs singing vs other stuff - we should remember that idols have the option to dip their toes into everything and anything - maybe this is just ryujin seeing if acting is her thing or maybe this is something she really wants to get into long term
