News Cube Entertainment announces Soojin will be leaving (G)I-dle (1 Viewer)

First, the agency apologizes for having caused concern through the controversy associated with our artist Soojin.

Today, we are announcing the decision that Soojin will be leaving the group.

(G)I-DLE will henceforth promote as five members. We will continue to do our best and provide unstinting support so that (G)I-DLE can show their growth in music and performance.

There's definitely more of a chance that Cube at least forced her to make this decision than her just waking up deciding to throw away 3 years of hard work over a scandal that cooled off for a few months now

exactly, like i barely saw anyone speak about that scandal in a long time and since cube were basically defending her the whole time i'd expect her to just come back with (g)i-dle's next group activities not the complete opposite.

The timing for kicking her out is just so random as this is something that should've been done shortly after the scandal if they knew they were going to do it as just letting things cool off was more of an indication that they'd at least see how a comeback with her would do but instead just a statement that basically reads "Hi we're Cube oh and Soojin isn't a part of (G)I-dle anymore"

I wish Idle the best and hope they continue their success regardless. They still have so much going for them. Rumours are Idle are supposed to be coming back pretty soon, so perhaps Cube decided to remove Soojin ahead of the comeback.

Yeah (G)I-dle having a comeback coming up and Cube deciding to do this before that makes the most sense of this nonsensical decision

While I do think Soojin/Cube could’ve handled this a lot better but even then I don’t think this warranted her leaving the group, I had hoped she’d be back after a hiatus like SKZ Hyunjin so this is quite shocking and sad.

Normally I'd disagree with this (I really liked Soojin) but she did taunt her alleged victim saying she'd leave the group if it was true. And then that victim admitted/accused her of bullying. What can you do

I like the group and was waiting for her to get out so I could continue supporting
Hope this teaches people that their actions in the present will affect their future, how relieved must the victim/victims feel
