Fanfic writers, what was your very first fanfic like? (1 Viewer)

I ask because a video I just watched provoked a memory of my first. It was a BSB fanfic about a girl who goes to a concert and meets Nick at the meet and greet. I remember the way they connected, too - Nick said to my OC (Brianna) that he needed a map bc he was getting lost in her eyes... puh-LEEZE! Nowadays, she would've slapped him in the face and moved on, but Brianna actually liked his cheesy pickup line! But the icing on the cake? The first date was the very next night! Like, give them TIME to develop their crushes, 13-year-old me!

omg now THAT'S cheesy! lol Speaking of cheesy, one time I wrote a fanfic heavily based on this YA book called Pop Princess. And when I say heavily, I mean HEAVILY - I'm pretty sure I was basically plagiarizing the book... lol I'm so happy the site I posted it to is long gone and I don't have the story anymore!

i mean ... i "wrote" a self-insert twilight fanfiction when i was 11 where i took scenes i liked from the book and just changed bella's name to mine doesn't get more plagiaristic than that !!

Hmmm I think I was a MCR inspired based one with OC characters, it was kinda like teen drama like one tree hill met skins with a more alternative vibe.
It was very teen like beginning but had very heavy themes, like suicide, bullying, murder, sexuality.. It was just really heavy stuff...
Considering I started writing it at like 13/14 was going through alot of heavy stuff myself it was a good outlet but very heavy of a story. It had about maybe 60 chapters I finished it by the time I was 16 I think.
I still have the original hand written chapters and the uploaded printed versions....reading it back is weird kinda, as it's a realisation of how much pain I was in emotionally as some characters issues were influeced loosely by my own.. But the story kinda hits.. Lol
