last point I’m iffy about because while official studios are heavily involved in fanbases and the instigation of fanwars and propagation of malicious rumours, implementing it would be hard

I'm assuming they mean not making it public for those big ranking lists to discourage bulk buying and the practice of bulk buying albums but with the specification to not ship
