Do Kpop Companies turn u off from kpop? (1 Viewer)

I have been thinking this with all company news that have been coming out lately. I just feel like I can't enjoy kpop in peace anymore. Everytime I'm getting into group their company find a way to fuck it up.

Like I was getting into G-IDLE ever since Oh My God and them slaying on Queendom. Now I'm thinking thank god I didn't get invested.

In other hand I got into Day6 semi recently, but with JYPE it has been so frustrating. Id like to be proven wrong but it feels like I got into another act who is heading towards disbandment.

Ofc lot of it is fault of scandals, but companies choose how they react to scandals so that's why I'm putting blame on them.

I still like kpop as genre of music, but half of the fun of kpop is getting into artist not just music. And I feel like kpop is lately nothing but scandals and companies doing their absolute worst to answer them and support their acts. It makes it rly hard to stay interested.

With EXO I’ve stanned them since pre-debut, but unless you’re an EXO-L yourself, not many will have noticed the situation between them and SM. Their 10yr contract is up next April and I can’t wait til they’re out of there.

i heavily dislike all kpop companies, but i'm here only for the music so they don't exactly turn me off because the entertainment industry is more or less fucked up everywhere. i don't buy albums so they're not getting any money from me anyway

I have been trying to get more into Indie artist. You are right though, there is issues with USA etc. labels as well. I think Megan stallions company tried to get money from her so that they would allow her collab with bts.

Though I feel like company is often more detached from artist out of kpop realm. Its way more common to switch labels during ur career. When I kpop artist is often tied to their label and company often makes and ends the group.

That’s pretty much what I am, I look at artists rather than companies. WM have always been nice though, they let B1A4 do their own thing, and really helped out JinE when she was in OMG until she left.

I love it when groups leave together too. I was so happy for Ahgase when GOT7 jumped ship from JYP (Day6 will likely do the same) Highlight are probably the best examples of that with them sticking together and creating their own label.

at the end of the day except for to my knowledge brown eyed girls( or kids like akmu) companies put the acts together and created the entire deal out of nothing. Then the acts had to go preform and hope that the training left them in a position where they could execute.

Fans often suck it up when company throws away a member, but they are also vocalky unhappy about it. And personally I wouldn't feel comfortable stanning Cubes groups cause I can't trust the company to not screw them and fans over.

I'd say that companies can make me not want to stan a group because I know the company is trash and I was worried that they will be mistreated, like I didn't necessarily want to stan p1harmony due to them being part of fnc but i fell in love with them and i couldn't not stan
