Right now essentially all my favourite metal bands are also Japanese. My top favourite is Galneryus. Other bands include Aldious, JILUKA, Jupiter, NEMOPHILA, Unlucky Morpheus, Lovebites and others.

Past favourites include Dimmu Borgir, Dragonforce, Trivium, Children of Bodom, Nightwish, Within Temptation, and many others that their names escape my memory right now.

You should at least try my guys; Galneryus.

most of my stuff is probably blues driven as opposed to noise driven.
moody blues big orchestral numbers for example.

A Japanese metal band that comes directly from the 80s is Ningen Isu. Their sound might as well be a direct descendant of 70's Black Sabbath.

What would you say are some of your favourite groups under the alt umbrella?

I have 2100 songs on my "All" Playlists, which includes any song I like that's not K-Pop and it's kind of difficult to say which of them truly goes under the Alternative term but I have bands like Katastro, Caskets, Normandie, Culture Wars or soloists like Au/Ra, Allie X, Alice Merton, DeathByRomy and like a bunch more, if u want i can share the link and u just look through it
