and why are they so popular?

I just came across their debut and although it was only released 3 days ago, they're almost at 7 million views which is crazy for a new rookie group. So I'm assuming they were already popular pre-debut. But who are they and why are they so popular? Are they from a survival show? Did they disband and re-band? Why do they have so many fans? Or is the K-Pop fandom just so big now that everyone who debuts in this generation can get millions of views upon debut?

Personally, I'm not a fan of the song. It was pretty flat. The only alright part was the chorus (which was literally just a repetitive "nananana"). The choreo also wasn't anything special. I actually thought it didn't match the song at all. It felt too fast. But that all aside, the members all look like dolls. They're all so cute. Who are they?

2 of them were in pd 48 Yerin was one of the super talked about visuals.(Yena may enter that group when IZ one disbands).
I did not like it either.
The song seems to be hit or miss but those who like it really really do.

Ohhh thanks for explaining. That makes sense. The Yuehua trainees overall seem really popular. The boys are super popular too.

I really liked them, as in my fav debut and gg song this year lol. Infact one of my fav gg title tracks in general, everything about it was just perfect to me. And a lot of people seem to have loved it that's why they're getting some good buzz.

Tbf they have been uploading covers and other content since predebut so that plus PD48 hype brought more eyes on them. Yiren was one of the most popular visuals in PD48. Sihyeon is said to resemble Suzy a lot and she was the center during that iconic Rumor performance. Plus the possibility of IZ*ONE Choi Yena joining them later is exciting too.

To me it was just alright. I didn't hate it but I also didn't love it. Honestly, I did give up half way but then just to see if something interesting would happen later on, I pressed the play button again (spoiler @Joy : nothing happens lol). I most likely won't listen to it again.

And the name Yiren sounds so familiar to me but I have no idea who she is. So I guess she's popular enough for even non-Prod48 fans to hear about her. But the group does have some very pretty members so I'm not surprised.

Love the verses, the way the autotune is used and that prechorus/chorus is hype too

But I can see how not everyone will like it lol.

Yiren was one of the members K netz liked a lot for her visuals and she ranked 28th I think so maybe that's why? She's also my bias

I had no idea who they were before I listened and debuts rarely impress me.

On my first listen, the start of the song was pretty jarring and I didn't like it. But by the end of the song, I was really surprised by how I liked it and now I'm hooked.

They also have really unique visuals and their b-sides are really good too. I don't think I've ever stanned a group this fast...

I'm happy about the 7 million views. I think they're getting noticed by a lot of people now. They didn't have a crazy first day, but they had 2 million the second day, and 2 million the third day as well, which is a good sign.

Also for me the song was just flat honestly. It just went nowhere.

Yiren, Sihyeon went to PD48 and did pretty well

Onda went to Idol school and ended up ranking 40

Their debut song was expected to be lit, ever since we got 3 seconds of the highlight medley. This debut was honestly highly anticipated and they delivered.

Watched the MV today and was sceptical in the beginning but by the end of the song I was in love :D
The song is def a bop and is immediately stuck in your head. Great choreo too and the girls seem very sweet. Wishing them all the best! :llama_lovely:
