1. You aren't owed a group you like just for watching the show. You can always just not stan if you don't wanna.
2. You knew the voting system GP999 had from the start, yet you still watched it. Stop complaining about it NOW.
3. Just bcs Bahiyyih got votes due to having a popular brother, doesn't mean the ppl who voted for her are any less valid (altho the mass buying of SIM cards WAS a bit shitty, but I don't think without it she would be out of the group, just lower ranked)
4. Just bcs you think a member isn't "talented" enough to be in the group, doesn't mean she shouldn't be or that she's worthless. Idol is more than singing and dancing.
5. Just bcs you don't like a member doesn't mean you should hate on her. She did nothing wrong. She just fulfilled her dream and shouldn't be hated for that
6. Your opinion doesn't have more weight than the thousands of people who voted for the girls you don't like
7. Shut tf up and stop hating on innocent girls

It just makes me angry how willing ppl are to shit on girls for not fucking reason other than being jealous she's in the group their fave isn't.
You can be mad your fave didn't make it without hating on the ones who did.

To be fair, democracy revolves around the fact that each vote is equal, which was not true in GP999's case, but that's just nitpicking. People are rightfully complaining about it now rather than a month earlier since the full effect of the voting system was just revealed, not to mention the fact that the voting system kept changing multiple times throughout the program. People also did complain nonstop week after week, they're just being more vocal now.

That being said, the way people are talking about the winners, Bahi especially, is absolutely disgusting at times. Mnet created the skewed system in the first place, it's ridiculous that people are shoving their hate down the girls' throats instead of them, they are the ones who made the J and C trainees essentially waste their time for half a year. Hope the girls don't have to listen to the same crap Hyewon, Minju and Sohye had to (although I'm sure they will).

I feel like most people weren't expecting Mnet to suddenly change their ways, but more like didn't anticipate them to be this aggressive in addition to being hopeful that "this time" would be better (due to straight up rigging the votes being at least a bit more difficult, I wouldn't say impossible). The editing, for example, was worse than ever before, it's both sad and hilarious that Mnet could stoop so low at times. Like they weren't even subtle about it. Some people just genuinely thought that "this time" would be it, that's just how people work. And that's why they're mad.

Mnet has no reason to learn and that is obvious already from the fact they promised to end the produce series after getting a slap on the wrist for the rigging, only to just release a reskinned version of it in GP999

But yet again, most people knew it's going to be shit eventually and were not surprised at the end. People are just angrier than before because the way Mnet went about it was even worse compared to earlier seasons, that's all. It's not like they thought everybody would suddenly be content with the show.

If and when some poor person genuinely thought that this season was going to be all fun and roses and that Mnet learned their lesson, well, sucks to be them. Some people just are trustful like that.

If the girl is actually supported in the future is going to be worth watching. i think she will.
Mnet clearly did not want her as they built her no arc within the show. Unlike Sohye, YCY, and Hyewon who had massive arcs.

But i also think this touches on another third rail of kpop.
Namely that some bg stans and gg stans barely tolerate each other except on a surface level.

This is another issue that needs to be addressed.
There are long standing gripes in produce that those they consider bg troll voters impact the teams.
This was just more overt and pushed more buttons.

If she managed to get fans already without Mnet's support
then I feel like it doesn't matter how good or bad she's treated in the group going forward. She will retain the popularity.

+ everybody loves an underdog, could end up in a Sehun-esque position, where she gets more or less ignored by the company, gets no lines, but is insanely popular.

i didn't even watch the whole show but people are getting too comfortable hating on a teenage girl who did nothing wrong to anyone. like sure it was a bit extreme with the sim cards but even if she wouldn't get in without it or without txt fans voting for her, what were people expecting her to do? disown her brother in the middle of an episode?

If there was vote manipulation then I think ppl are entitled to actual members that got most votes not rigged ones.

But even without rigging, honestly I find it pretty hard to stan survival show groups. They just rarely end up with members i was rooting for and usually the style they go for after show isn't it for me. I mostly just enjoy watching the shows ^^;
