I feel like companies often just delete the offensive content rather than release statement or apology cause things die down quicker that way, apology brings further attention to it so apology gets posted only if thing becomes too big.

with that being said, this apology is weak as hell for multiple reasons. i'm not going to judge other BLACK MYs who accept her apology (had to emphasize black because i'm seeing too many nonblacks accept on our behalf), but i'm personally not feeling very forgiving right now. maybe some time in the future but who knows.

This is the first time an SM idol every apologized for something like this. With how much they want aespa to be international, it's obvious their PR team was all over this. Doesn't even sound like her at all but it's probably the best we're gonna get

I didn’t read the apologize but I’ll say that at this point there really is no excuse for stuff like this. Saying the n word, blackface, and the things that almost universally get called out as cultural appropriation. Especially the n word, it has so many variations around the world and the word is easy to look up. Can’t blame many black people for writing off the entire K-music scene.

Just in general from other incidents over the years Kpop companies clearly need cultural and racial training for all their employees. Too many non-Korean nationals go through so much because of insensitivity if not outright prejudice sentiments. Kpop is way to international, organized and micro-managed for BS like this to still be happening🙃
