They really do get to my heart sometimes. I help out with young kids in my church (newborn to 4 years old) and today a girl that’s about 2 didn’t want her mom to leave her (she’s been with us before but she can get nervous sometimes). Her mom left the room and she started crying, I was able to get her to calm down after about ten minutes of holding her and patting her back. It was the first time that a child chose me as the adult out of the room that they were most comfortable with so it made me happy. I was able to get her to color and do an activity with stickers and she seemed to have had a lot of fun by the end.

I just feel like I’m not the best with them Like the times when they bring a piece of fake food for me to pretend to eat I just get confused on what I’m supposed to do for some reason.

they can be confusing lmaooo once they gave me a bag of goldfish snacks to eat so I ate them and then they got upset cus I was supposed to eat it later like girl u didn't tell me that

awwwwwwww how adorable!!! I love kids, but one thing I'm not good at is toddler speak. I mean, if little Emma (an EXAMPLE name) says what she's saying really loudly, MAYBE I can make it out, but definitely not when she's using her little toddler voice. lol
