In the mornings I get distracted... and I think the passing of time affects how you think. Like, if it's day time you'll think "oh I'll have plenty of time to do this! No rush!", so you might procrastinate a bit, but then night comes and it's like "oh shit oh shit gotta get this done fuck". It's all about your sense of urgency.

personally its the calming atmosphere of nighttime.. being in the dark when the world is going to sleep and you actually get to focus is amazing!​

For me I just preferred the quiet and being able to fully focus on what needed to be done without interruptions.
