this is what he said about season 2 storyline

Hwang Dong Hyuk also revealed what the core plotline for Season 2 will be. “The focus [of the season] will be the story of [Lee Jung Jae‘s character] Seong Gi Hun unraveling [the mysteries of the organization behind the game],” he shared. “The overarching plotline of Season 2 will be the story of the people that Gi Hun meets and the people he chases after.”

who knows they might bring back one character to life + the brother, they might also add Gong yoo to the main cast?

I also wouldn't be surprised if they even cast bts v, with the thought of Netflix liking and commenting his squid game photo and him taking pictures with Lee Jungjae + being very popular so it might bring even more hype. tho I hope he doesn't, even tho I love bts and all of the members, I'm not a big fan of his acting :/

i can definitely see junho coming back tho, his "death" seemed very untimely and i feel like his character has much more to offer

honestly i wouldnt mind if they gave him a little cameo, if hes a big fan of the show it would be a fun little thing for v and army's. but if his acting is not up to par like you say (i have no idea, ive never seen him act tbh) then hopefully it stays at that, a cameo and nothing more.
