two great songs from today (you NEED to listen to the first) (1 Viewer)

ew why does my title remind me of clickbait ads

ANYWAYS well these songs weren't released today but i discovered them today so lol
also this kinda turned into a mini speedrun of a Chaotic Review™ enjoy

first up is TNT (Truth&Trust) by Trendz, a new bg
this is their debut song and honestly it SLAPS
i was introduced to this group today by @litc , who showed me their performance vid for their bside Villain, which was p damn cool
but for their title OMGGG bruh hold up bc its a BOP
im getting the same vibes i got when i watched Just B's debut, i feel like 4th gen bgs are not hopeless after
ofc im not shitting on new 4th gen bgs but tbh most of their songs are kinda similar smth and Just B's and Trendz's debuts just seem rly refreshing, i rly feel like they have a lot of potential

OK IDK WHO THE PERSON RAPPING AT THE BEGINNING IS BUT HIS VOICE LITERALLY PERFECT FOR RAPPING OMG ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE I HEARD A BG MEMBER WITH AN ACTUALLY GOOD VOICE/TONE/FLOW/STYLE/WTV FOR RAPPING
most of the time i find it cringe but this guy? nailed it

the raps are mostly pretty good and

not sure how much the lighting in the mvs are contributing to this but i really feel like Just B and Trendz make me reminiscent of 2nd and 3rd gen bgs, which is smth ive been craving. and its not just the mv, its the music itself too, especially the chorus. the chorus is so good and its actually got a memorable melody that you can....well, remember
the way there are 2nd/3rd gen styles married with 4th gen is just immaculate

@Ariadne i think you'd like this one

the second one is Lunatic by Moonbyul
DID YALL SEE THESE LYRICS OMG queer anthem
the only part i dont like is the "lulu nanana lunatic" and "blah blah blah" parts of the chorus but aside from that, its a p boppy song!

AND THIS OUTFIT HOLY CHRIST I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT
WITH THAT HAIR TOO?? MWAHHH CAN I HAVE IT I LOVE IT SM

Spoiler: tagging the HOMIES 🤪🤪

@Juniverse @hoeformina @hoeforjuyeon @Goldenstar @xtra @Daehwi

Ok @ahparkchaeyoung can you explain Lunatic's lyricsI like it but half the time it doesn't even feel like a love song, except for like the pre-chorus

loll it was mainly the first verse that gave me queer vibes

I'm not your average type
I know that I have those habits
You might not like
Control is something I can’t give
When I was young I kinda knew
I was nothing like them other girls

I think it was the next verse? But smth abt love I think that was more queer to me.
Ya, don't stop what you're doing
Keep it real, do what you want
All I do is get what I want
Maybe that's the way love is for me, when I express it keep it legit

This one I think was more like she can't be bossed around
