Hello, this is DSP Media.

We are informing you that our artist APRIL has disbanded.

After a long period of discussion and debate, our agency and the APRIL members decided to have the group disband and go their separate ways.

We ask that you give lots of support and interest to the six members, who will be walking a new path that is not part of APRIL.

Furthermore, we would like to once again thank the fans who supported and cheered on APRIL for the past six years.

its just a shame especially since the controversy whole deal is so wonky.

Can't say I'm shocked as truthfully there was little point continuing the group anyway as the damage had been done since April had gotten their foot in the door with Lalalilala but they didn't get far enough with it to be considered established and the year they should have done a proper follow up comeback to it insted they were getting slammed with the Hyunjoo controversy.

A sad ending to something that seems to have been brought on by a misunderstanding but it is what it is in the end although I do wonder what they'll do with Somin being part of KARD since her name was dragged through this as well.

I don’t think anybody has come out of the controversy well. I feel like if DSP knew April wouldn’t be able to come back after it all, they should’ve just put them out of their misery earlier and let them go.
