what has been your favorite book series?

The books are in the first picture and the second to the right down. Ash & Quill is the one you can see the best (it's the 3rd in the series) but this is my most favorite series of all time. Sadly the author passed away from a battle with cancer but the series is so fantastic. It's called the Great Library series.

It takes place in an alternate universe where the library of Alexandria was never destroyed and is essentially the institution that protects and also determines what the people are allowed to read. it's also illegal for people to own physical copies of books and as a result, a lot of interesting crime has struck up as a result of this crazy censorship and control regarding books.

Our main character is a part of a family that runs a book smuggling business and he LOVES reading. He's also incredibly intelligent so his father in an attempt to get more rare copies of books sends his son to the library to take a series of tests in the hopes he'll be accepted into the library to become a scholar. Well spoiler he does make it through and what he discovers about the chain of command and the library changes everything for him and his new group of friends.

that sounds good!! I think I heard about that book but you now definitely made me interested in getting into the series

Well I mean my new favorite book is Miracle Creek. I don't know if I talked to you about it but it's a book about a controversial therapy/treatment for people with fertility issues as well as those with mental disabilities. It's like this big air tank but it's incredibly dangerous and highly volatile so you have to be specially trained to own and operate the controversial method.

An Immigrant family runs a business like this when one day the tank explodes with clients inside of it resulting in the death of a young boy and then a mother of one of the children. We follow the story through flashbacks, multiple perspectives and also through a court case as we try to figure out who exactly is to blame for what happened. The prime suspect? The mother of the child that died.

I was not expecting to love it so much, But it covers immigration to America and the struggle of leaving your home behind and how it can mess with the family structure and relations as well as talking about motherhood and all that comes with it. The whole thing was just complex and so cool.

so true.. My grandma left behind 14 siblings and was quite lonely at times when coming to US..
