My favourite F1 driver has finally gotten his first pole position (1 Viewer)

As well as Kpop, my other love in life is motorsport. My mum’s obsession with it has definitely been passed down to me, and we’ve watched various championships since I was a baby.

When it came to Formula One, I never really had one favourite driver, but then along came Sergio Perez. He’s my Xiumin of motorsport, and I’ve supported him since his debut for Sauber in 2011.

Like EXO, Checo has gone through major ups, and major downs throughout his career. After 190 races, he finally achieved his first win in F1, winning in Bahrain after getting hit by other drivers and finishing lap one in last.

About 40mins ago, after 215 races, he finally achieved his (and Mexico’s) first ever pole position in F1. It’s been a very, very long coming, and I’m so proud of him for getting it

It’s also hilarious he did it this week after being referred to as ‘the other one’ by another team’s principal.

I’ve been in the F1 watching bubble all my life, so have gone through all the changes (for better and worse, like how they’re even racing at all this weekend, which they shouldn’t be). F1 twitter is also toxic as hell, so I don’t blame you for thinking of the sport in it that way.
