i literally saw someone go off on someone for not TWing some things like showering, happy couples, door knobs, etc etc

Showering I can kinda see but doorknobs and happy couples might be a little excessive. It’s possible to be triggered by those thing but their not common and I assumed TW’s are for common triggers. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

idk, they make as much sense to me as a pancake somehow being on a roof.

that no one was on.

a lot of people (especially like younger people) think that the internet should be censored which honestly i find a little dumb. as someone with severe mental health issues and stuff you just cannot expect everyone to TW themselves for you. especially because outside of the internet there isn't going to be trigger warnings everywhere.

and i get it, triggers are really hard to deal with. but that's what therapy is for. you're not supposed to learn how to avoid your triggers you are supposed to learn how to deal with getting triggered and learn to cope with them instead of sheltering yourself beyong belief.

you also just can't expect people to TW things like showering, eating, certain fandoms, etc. that's seriously just dumb.

Exactly!

Like, how do you expect people that don't know you to set TWs for you? If everyone did that then I don't know how exactly the Internet will be (and besides, not everyone wants to read the TWs, like me, unless you are genuinely triggered by such stuff, which can be resolved by, as you said, therapy, if possible).

It's really rude in my opinion to be honest. Especially because if everyone TW'ed everything they needed there would be literally nothing without it. It's not realistic.
