Nationality: There are plenty of American idols, so I wouldn't feel anything much.

Ethnicity: Someone above mentioned an Irish J-idol; since the only visual advantage an Irish person would have in Kpop is their pale skin, I don't think it would happen. My dad's side is Ashkenazi, and I don't think most Eastern Europeans would bother auditioning, much less getting into the group.

funny you mention blackswan bc an idol of my nationality just debuted in that group! (i'm indian)

anyway, i... don't know. I'm not very familiar with Blackswan, though i know that their company's management of their idols... leaves a lot to be desired. She's talented af (just looked her yt channel up here it is), so i hope things go well for her!

Irish is more than white people. They could be of EA descent but grown up & lived in Ireland all their life, so they still could have ethnic EA features and be Irish. I think there’s a higher chance of that being the case rather than a white Irish person.

I mentioned Irish in ethnicity, which would, of course, not include East Asian people whose families moved to Ireland.

I just presumed he was Chinese as he is in WayV. 🤷🏻

Nationality is defined as belonging to a particular nation. YangYang and Alex have German nationalities so that's why I put them. I'm not sure why people took it to mean ethnicity
