Comfort foods (1 Viewer)

What is your go-to comfort food?

I love something is called vagareli kichdi. It’s rice you fry in spices and vegetables and then you add more water than needed and let it cook.

But if I’m lazy, I order tomato soup and grilled cheese from my fav place.

I don’t really have one, maybe borscht? I rarely have it though.

Pork chops.

A good comfort food, I mix a bit of Gochujang into mine and it turns out quite good

Ramen.. But instead of using the powder flavor packet I add ginger, garlic powder, salt, cayenne pepper, soy sauce, rice vinegar, beef stock, and sugar. It ends up having a sweet and sour flavor and way less salty than the flavor packet.

Pork chops.

I always thought comfort foods were quick.

I love tomato soup, too.

My comfort food lately is "brassói aprópecsenye" which is basically fried potato and meat (with paprika powder).

I’ve never even heard of it, how does it differ?

taste-wise it's quite different! there's no beetroot so it doesnt have that sweet, earthy flavor. instead the sorrel makes it a bit more tangy! it's super easy to make too, you should give it a try~
