The legal age of a woman to appear in porn was 20 for the longest time but now the age has been lowered to 18. But now once a new actress is signed to a company she can not film a video for a whole month. And THEN the company has to wait FOUR months before they can sell or publish the video online. This is to protect the women from jumping into a situation they might regret later since once a video appears online it's there forever.

The adult industry is not happy with this law because it could keep them from making profit on new potential stars for almost half a year.

While I wouldn't say being a porn actress is a dumb decision, people are still able to act without thinking a year or 5 after becoming 18. Farrah Abraham thought it was a good idea to become a porn actress well after she gave birth... People are able to make decisions that affect their life without thinking throughout their life. When I was 24, I wanted to see if I pulled my hand away from the burner really fast if my brain would register the pain. Was that dumb? Yes. Was I 18? No.
