The thing with me is that there is this small local venue which has metal bands [that are moderately famous] play (i.e., Dragonforce, Mayhem, Carach Angren) and even then the price is still under $50 for one band and two supporting acts... I would feel funny paying $180 for a balcony seat at a k-pop concert when I could go to 7 metal concerts with a floor seat for that price. lol

Lucky you. Around where I live it seems there is no interest on metal music. What I see people playing around is all music I hate.

lol. Where I used to live all the concerts had to be approved by the local Indian tribe, which on the committee was basically older people who only wanted to allow musicians and bands from 60s-80s so basically a bunch of soft rock and Motley Crue era music, with some jazz and country mixed in..

I guess it has a name; but I don't know it. An old one that I used to hate (and still do) is salsa. During the 80's, rock was popular here for a few years; but it seems it left the country.
