I think the biggest problem with Jieun was, she was given and marketed for a role her voice wasn't meant for. That whole pop vocal diva thing did not suit her tone, even if she had the pipes for it. Her company probably realized that, which is why they took a different approach with her solo stuff. The one thing TS did right lol.

First of all, I thought Ailee was the "Korean Beyonce" ...
That being said, everyone knows that most main vocals in kpop can't be compared with those outside the idol system, I discovered that through Sohyang, Ha Hyun Woo and others.
To be honest, I don't like Bom because she has a beautiful tone but because she has the ability to connect with people, to communicate emotions through her singing. The first song I heard from 2ne1 was it hurts and the thing that impressed me the most, aside from their style, was Bom's voice. I never thought i'd feel so touched by someone singing in a totally different language.

Everyone declines imo, and Hyolyn mostly makes less straining songs now anyway, it's so it can suit her. Every vocalists strains, unless your Je Up of Imafct
