I wonder what all their fansites will do when they enlist. It seems like a lot of them like TXT too. They're definitely successful juniors.

i find them boring now. no idea the GP's opinion on them, i dont listen to top 40 radio nor do i have any army friends. they've been massively successful in the last few years, but i feel like kpop fans, especially veterans (imo, kpop fans for 5+ yrs), aren't interested in them.

we're told by armys theyre "not kpop" so we took that at face value. i can safely say that most vet kpop fans believe their best days are behind them. bts' musical peak was 2016 and they havent come close to reaching it since.

the explosion of popularity they had in north america circa 2019 i don't think we nor them will ever see again. military enlistment will make the GP forget about them and when they come back they'll be seen as "old" and newer kpop fans won't be interested either. people will move on to other groups. i think the next big boy group in north america will be one that hasn't even debuted yet.

Well spoken. I completely agree with you. I actually fell for kpop through BTS around 2016. Really loved them at the time. But I stopped caring around 2019 or something. As I discovered many other groups and music that I fell in love with. I found out that kpop had so much more to offer than just BTS and BP. They haven't been really active that much lately. I saw that they would come back with an album, idk if that's already happened but I'm not interesting in checking it out tbh. They've definitely had their peak already and I don't think they will survive military enlistment either. Maybe after that, they will still remain popular in the western industry. That definitely doesn't mean that they suck or their music suck, but I just don't care for them anymore.

A lot of Army are also success stans. If BTS is no longer #1 then they will just leave and join another fandom.

=shrug= I still bump old BTS, mid BTS, and new BTS, so idc about folks talking about them as long as their catalogue is talking to me.

Also, I, like you (most likely, being who you internet are), am not in a lot of spaces in which BTS is regularly talked about, so I can't say whether or not they're being talked about a lot xD
