To put it into perspective of ggs, Born Pink is about 100k away from claiming the title of best selling GG album from Aespa. Aespas last Comeback, Blackpink's The Album and this latest new album will be the only GG albums to ever cross one million.

Although, I love aespa a lot more, I'm happy that there are GG's who have surpassed the million mark, and I think Blackpink getting as high as possible sets the standard for other GG's.
It means, aespa and other GG's who who can reach that million mark (where it's now or in the future) can try to reach higher with every comeback.

For way too long, GG's have been so far behind BG's, and of course, that is no surprise when BG's have more loyal fanbases who are mainly teenage girls.
I am glad that things are starting to change for GG's because then maybe when GG's can start making a lot of money for companies, they will start to be treated more equally (though there will still be a huge gender gap of equality among fans, etc).

If New Jeans can also surpass a million sales, that again will set the standards for other GG's.

that is in sales and sales only. bg are literal flops in digital except bts and a few other bunch. but girlgroups are overall far better performing, in views, sales, charts. plus, its not like snsd, twice and blackpink weren’t giving bgs a run for their money in their respective timelines
