For example, Somi was and probably is still hated for being half white and half Korean.
I saw this today in a YouTube video short listing idols being hated just for being themselves.

As a Korean, I'm ashamed and will apologize for that kind of disgusting mindset those Koreans in Korea have.

To me, if someone like Somi learned the language and adopted the culture, I consider them a Korean.
I don't care if others disagree. So what if she has interracial parents. It's really not a huge deal.
