Who has said it's unplayable though? Everyone I've seen has said it's fun but runs like trash pretty much

Well I beat all 8 gym leaders with only minimal lag.
I thought with those refunds they were getting money back ig.

Only way to really check how much lag you've had would be to check the playtime of your switch and the playtime in the game as the difference is the lag.

But not everyone has the same experience and some ways of playing the game make it worse like if you play it docked vs handheld or if you're running it from sd versus the switch itself however there are plenty of videos where you can see it is happening to people.

Some people will get it refunded others are hoping Gamefreak will be proactive in releasing an update to fix at least some of the more egregious stuff as people do think the game is fun but with an asterisk.

been planning to get scarlet but seeing it's glitchy as hell (from what i've read) i might as well wait a little longer. i'm planning on getting the grass cat tho

It's issues although most of them tend to be harmless although there are a couple which are bigger issues however if you plan on getting it I'd just get it as Scarlet/Violet sold 10M in 3 days so it's up in the air how much Gamefreak will push out in terms of patches
