I have been playing my part my entire life, now that i want to break out my shell and "be myself" i am accused of hiding because it's not what my mom wants. She wants me to be her but I'm not. I can't, I never will be. I don't want to. I bend over backwards to make my clothes and my presentation as masculine as possible but she doesn't like it. She wants to buy me dresses and dress me how she likes. But I hate it, it's weird and uncomfortable. I am not against men wearing femme clothes, I just don't have the desire to. My presentation is very important to me and the fact that my own mother wants to police my presentation makes me very upset. I try my best but it stresses me out

So I was talking with this new coworker and she asks me my sexuality. For context, we were talking about being in relationships and I said I’m with a woman and she’s like “so are you a lesbian, bi, etc”. Tbh I didn’t know how to answer her. So I was just like I’m pretty sure I’m a lesbian but I have dated men in the past so that’s something I’m questioning. She apologized for being invasive and I’m like no no no it’s okay I don’t mind answering questions
