Should BLACKPINK Go Sexy For The West? (4 Viewers)

As we all know by now, BP is trying their hand at the American market.
Now looking back at some of the biggest GG acts in the US, in recent years of course, most of the biggest hits have been sexy orientated. I mean it shouldn't really be surprising since sex sells well there, unlike in Asia.

The west has already had its fair share of sexy acts, it's predictable and boring and takes away from the music when done wrong. Not to say that they couldn't pull it off! It's just that they really should go for what works for them instead of forcibly trying to cater to western tastes.

No, and that's why it's perfect. It would be unique. They need that unique factor so they're not seen as just a wannabe western act.

Honestly, I don’t see them as a sexy girl group. It just doesn’t match with their personalities and style, I feel. The girl crush songs they make match them because they’re not overly explicit and a lot of them are just fun and energetic. Anything more I feel would just be totally out of character for them. I feel like Jisoo is the only one who could maybe pull off a sexy concept out of the group but I just couldn’t see it happening.

That's a good point. They might lose their some of their current fandom if they decide to suddenly go sexy. Tbh they good probably be more of a physical sales monster, like Billie Eilish, by being unique rather than a group that produces massive hits.
