NCT Universe
Jan. 5, 2023
A (mostly) daily round-up of everything happening in the NCT Universe.
What's included: tour news, appearances, cfs, performances, news.
What's not included: IG updates unless there's something highly pertinent, merch drops unless something highly pertinent like a new CF.

NCT Dream:
- 5Dream will be at the Seen Festival in Malaysia on Jan. 28.
- The Kookmin Bank Star Banking advertisement hits 10 million views and trends on social media. It's also being advertised on TV, apartment elevator, subway stations, YouTube, Instagram, etc. 150,000 people participated in the limited goods event (credit to NCT Dream Center on Twt for this info).
NCT 127:
- Our Ay-Yo schedule is out - 3 new songs: Ay-Yo, Skyscraper and DJ.
- Looks like we'll get our first promos the 6-8th. Let's hope it's not messy YT shorts content again.
- Schedule gives us our first look at the chorus: "Ballin' big time and I say Ay-Yo" 🤔
- All the icons and headers were changed. It's pink, y'all.
- Doyoung will be on the cover of Elle Japan.
- Yuta's latest photo spread and interview are out in the Japanese magazine Men's No No - it was filmed before their Tokyo Dome shows.
- The Neo City tour will continue in the Americas in the coming weeks. First up, Johnny's hometown on the 9th! MAMA SUH ON THE WAY! I wish we'd get a BL with one of these loud audiences for a 127 date.
- NEW TEASER: first look at Jaehyun's Forever Only remixes - jump here for @kimsguardian 's thread
WayV:
- WayV will be on MuBank this Friday.
- NEW CONTENT: WayV The Phantom Thief (with Eng subs) - jump here for @Jewel 's thread
- WayV will be at the Seen Festival too!
- There's merch for Phantom at the SM shop in case you had a deep yearning for a Phantom hoodie. (Shoulda been a cape, amirite?) I'm just so surprised to see WayV launch merch that I thought it was worth a mention.
Cross-Unit (including Rookies):
- NEW CONTENT: Special clips for each unit on Spotify
Charts/Awards/Milestones:
Since charts are a separate category at KS, I'll keep those separate unless there's a major milestone to call out.
- Superhuman reached 40M streams. 🍾
- To put into perspective NCT 127's popularity - Sticker has 42M streams and Favorite 53M streams and they were released 2 years after Superhuman!
- Phantom debuts at #5 on the Circle chart. Remember: this is an album mostly in Mandarin, so this is a big deal! 🍾
- Candy is #7 on the Melon charts, Graduation is #83. (realized I forgot to put this in!)
- ROAD TO 100M 🏃♂️ Try Again 95.6M, Baby Don't Stop 95M, Hot Sauce 92.1m
Neo's Got My Fact:
DYK six years ago today, NCT 127 debuted Limitless and two new members: Johnny and Doyoung!
