Got my surgery date (2 Viewers)

And it's relatively soon, I'm anxious even though I know I should be okay and it probably won't go badly. Its been years since I've had any surgeries, and I'm more aware now of the possibilities of anything going wrong during or after than I was when I was like 6 or however old I was, and it's a more major surgery (the past one was for a mole removal, it was a pretty big one and ig they thought it could harm me when I was older. I don't remember the details).
Just have to go with it and try to work on my anxiety some more

And take plenty of time to recover. Go slowly and don't stress your body while it's trying to heal.

I definitely will, I've been told that for full recovery its 9-12 months, so no matter if I try to rush or not it'll be long af, so it's just not worth it to rush

Yep. When I had my ankle tendon reconstruction surgery the recovery was supposed to take 4 months, but I pushed it too quickly and re-injured it. So it took 6 instead.

Just follow your recovery plan, handle any physical therapy following those instructions, etc.

It'll be hard, but it'll be done before you know it.

Lowkey surprised ankle tendon reconstruction is not short per say, but 4 months is a good amount less than 9. Maybe its because its smaller tendons and stuff? Idk doctory stuff makes me go

take care & good luck the surgeons know what they're doing and it'll be done before you know, though i'm sure you already know all that. there's no secret to ease anxiety except deep breaths ig 😭 i hope you have a great recovery ♡

After it's done and it's recovered, remember you'll have more things to look forward to then not having to hike
