This song was nice it was chill.. nice music good feel, then the rap drops and im like ???

This is a matter of opinion -

it does not even match the vibe of the song at all... do they think this is mic drop? or not today? do they not even know how to rap to a chill beat? every single verse wasnt rapped properly and honestly they exhaust their voice its grading and they did this in idol ofc it was stronger in idol than this song but it was still not good, the vocal line sang properly to the music they didnt rap properly to it. it didnt harmonize at all with anything completely misplaced 100% just off. I'd rather they just made it a non rap song. if they cant make it work then dont try. Other groups know how to do it. b1a4 for example they have plenty of chill songs and Baro and cnu can rap it and flow just fine, but bts tend to exhaust their voice, add random... rap adlibs? or those loud noises that dont suit anything. bigbang do it easily enough. just bts rapline honestly need to either chill or just stop.



but besides that i like the song, its nice!

I think that the rapline should get priority and that the song should be built around them, since they are BTS's strongest side. That automatically means to me, that if the rap and vocals don't fit together well, the vocals are the ones that should be changed. (Even though I think the rap and vocals fit well in Boy with luv)

It is basically decided on whether you you prefer the rapline or the vocal line.

We have different tastes I Think! I really like BTS's rapline and love the way their verses flows with the song - not a big fan of 85% of kpop rappers, so they must be more to my style - so I'm your opposite! Since they were built around the rappers/were originally supposed to be just the three of them, and I think many of their best songs are Rap-verse-highlighted tunes. Bapsae, Tomorrow, the greatness that is Tear, Ddaeng, Cyphers 3 & 4.... amazing if you love their style. It's also one of the things that make them different. (and BTS really was made to support them)

That being said I do think the rap integration was good but not great; this is one of their songs where the pop comes before the rap, and it does show!

Listen to the MV version without watching the MV or waiting/looking for her voice. I forget that she even is in this song, that is how little she stands out.

I prefer Ddaeng and Cypher pt 2 and 3, but yes. That is basically what I am saying. If that is what BTS were doing, I would still be their fan.

Spring day is vocal based, but my favorite part of that song is Suga's rap

yeah i actually do think rm's verse was tolerable just. he did tone it down a bit. but suga what was he doing.

BTS's rapline is really good imo but some their titles (I'm looking at DNA and Boy with Luv mostly) really don't do them justice, it's not cohesive and is an awkward transition.

Some of their songs have GREAT vocal-to-rap transitions though like Spring Day, INU, and many of their b-sides.

Boy with Luv is not really chill though. Rapline can definitely do chill when required.

You just singled out BTS rapline's worst song. Listen to the other cyphers, Outro: Tear, Outro: Her, Ddaeng, and practically all their older music and tell me that's tragic.

I'd love to see a BTS comeback based around the rapline nowadays, that would be cool, but I highly doubt it will happen.

I don't hate the rappers, I think they're pretty good in what they do and they make nice songs

But I don't think they should be the centre of the song and get the most lines when the singers are far better
