Is there a difference between calling someone pretty vs hot (1 Viewer)

Simple: hot is used to describe a person you feel a certain kind of attraction, and pretty is when you just admire how good they look, but you don’t like them in that way. If you know about different kinds of attraction, I would explain it like this:

Hot: physical attraction
Pretty: aesthetic attraction

I use pretty more than hot because I never find people hot by my own definition, only pretty.

For me, I think someone being hot means that you are experiencing lust when you look at them, but if you think someone is pretty you are just recognising their attractiveness. Like if Wonho walked into my room I would think he's hot and I would want to [ insert something horrifically explicit here ] with him. If Qri walked into the room, I would think she's pretty but I wouldn't feel any physical attraction to her.

That’s basically what I meant, I just tried to be cautious with my wording so I didn’t risk getting in trouble for it. If I find someone desirable in a lustful way, then they’re hot. Otherwise, they’re likely just pretty to me.
