me personally, if someone deserves it then they deserve it
and i especially don't think there is any limit to how much damage you do if they hit u first

In college, I took a business law class and my professor was a practicing defense attorney. She told us a story once about a client who had been antagonized, the other guy hit him, and her client hit him back. Turned out the guy who initiated the fight was what she called a "glass egg." Her client's punch back trigger a brain aneurysm and killed him. The court's do not gaf if you had no way of knowing that your strike was going to cause serious damage to the other person. You are still responsible for your own actions. Walk away.
