And here’s what I found out. I went through all of ITZY’s title tracks, b-sides, singles and Japanese releases, I am not including the Japanese versions of previously released songs. This time its more specific. Spoiler alert: It’s not that good.

So someone at JYP decided to form a group with this Disney, love yourself, fun, pop style which sounds fine in theory, but they threw in terrible production and choruses that go nowhere and called that group ITZY.
I’m not gonna shit on them this whole post though, their debut song “Dalla Dalla” was pretty decent, so was “ICY” and “Wannabe” which is a lot of people’s faves. I liked them as well.
I was vibing for the first half of the Wannabe album, “Ting Ting Ting” is a collab song and its kind of a banger, so was “Thats a No No”, and “Nobody Like You” was ok.
The second half however, you can just ignore the last 3 songs on that album, cuz well, they are not good.
Like idk what happened to “You Make Me”, when the chorus hits it sounds so empty that I was almost caught off guard. Thats the perfect example of an ITZY song. They don’t like bass in their songs thats for sure.
This is a running theme with ITZY apparently. Once in a while they release something thats pretty cool, and then everything else is complete trash. The quality control is all over the place.
The Not Shy album is rough. “Not Shy” as the title track is fine and it has an actual chorus which is cool and all, and then it just takes a nosedive after that.
“Don’t Give a What” more like I don’t give a fuck about this song lol.
“iD” has such a cool opening its like the opening to an old school theater show but of course, ITZY’s producers fail to utilize it well. Same with “Louder”.
They bring it back with the Guess Who? album thankfully. “Mafia in the morning” is decent I know a lot of people hate it, but I liked it.
“Sorry not Sorry” and “Kidding Me” though, give me more of that please thats some of ITZY’s best songs. “Shoot!” is kinda chill as well.
Now you can just ignore “Sneakers” because thats literally a typical ITZY b-side turned into the title track.
“Racer” is kind of a banger, everything else in that Checkmate album is really bad sadly.
I’m still trying to burn away my memory of listening to “365” because that is probably the worst thing they have put out by far. I don’t understand how it got to that point.
Loco album is whatever, I liked “Loco” “Swipe” and “Twenty” everything else is subpar.
“Voltage” is one of their best songs I don’t care what anyone says and its not even one of their main Korean tracks, its Japanese.
Cheshire album which is only like 4 songs is great in my opinion which I am happy for. I’m a big “Boys like You” supporter. “Cheshire” is the type of playfulness I would like from ITZY from now on. Good stuff all around on that album.
Also someone tell ITZY to stop saying “Blah Blah” because I’ve heard it in like 5 different songs by now.
Next group is gonna be Stray Kids.
