Wollim had zero plans for another group, so they both worked to get her to a place where she could continue.

She was super popular in IZ*ONE btw.

Well As to rigged She was a target since she never was in teh top 12 before the final. All of the other girls who made it had been at one time or another.
they normally pick from
Minju, Chaewon, Yuri or Yean as the 2 which i think is nuts.

Personally i think they rigged j line members in ( considering how gp 999 went down Sakura seems likely as the bulk of her fans are still from japan or china.) And all the buzz i could find at the time was very anti japan. Also why the have kept such a tight lid on the names.

Not sure why she picked a group its just while the fans were pushing so hard for an extension. ( which starship pretty much killed) a break down came out of what the girls wanted to do after. All would have stayed if it was extended.
2 ofc were going back to starship. 3 to japan, 2 acting, 3 solo , 1 still wanted a group and one up in the air. if i remember that off teh top of my head right.

Well to starships credit, at least they obviously had great plans why they wanted their members back.. so it was not just an asshole move to be greedy and then put them into a dungeon.. even if thats probably only little comfort for IZ*one fans.

Truthfully there are very few companies that have ever built 'successful ' girl groups (and that is with a just lasting out the first contract definition of success.) and until itzy only SM had run more than one top group at a time. (jyp blew up WG to focus on twice.)

I would expect all of them would have rather kept getting what ever money IZ*ONE was bringing in than do the work except starship. who truth be told really just had Sistar. WJSN is say tier 2 ish. IVE blew both groups out of the water.

WM ( who had Chaeyeon ) has OMG who with out a strong queendom probably does not renew. obv had no idea what to do with Chaeyeon.
Yuhua is a mess. Yena had to go solo.
Wollim Lovelyz and Rocket punch make money ... but they fubared the opportunity for lovelyz that queendom gave idle and omg.
Stoen has only had Fromis_9 who they really did not run well and now moved. Yuri had no hope of an agency group.
Minju's and Hyewons agencies are.. well they have never fielded a group that i know of.

I'm a bit surprised to read all that, I thought the entire ponit of sending your rookies to produce and similar shows is for them to gain popularity and bring it back to the company down the road, but if you do not have any playns how to capitalize on it.. what was the point in the first place to ever training rookies

2 HKT they had groups to go back to Sakura chose to strike out on her own as she had been a member for about 10 years.

2 Starship - Starship waited and did not have all of teh girls who were in pd 48 make IVE.

2 Woollim - Woollim chose to head hunt Juri with their other 2 pd 48 girls and debut Rocket Punch in 2019 adding Eunbi or Chaewon was just not a great idea.
1 Yuehua - Yuehua also chose to debut their pd 48 girls in early 2019 in Everglow.
the pandemic really hurt rocket punch since tehy were planing to leverage Juris popularity like lesserafim has sakura.
and because of them both debuting groups and the pandemic still active no chance to do a new group.

1 Stone - Stone has never debut a group that did not come from a tv show. I am not even sure any of the idol school girls or any girls are still training there.
1 8 D - was a food company that branched out. far as i know Hyewon is their only female they do have a boy group.
1 - Urban works is mostly actors Minju was training with what seems to be the only other girl idol that debut from them

1 WM - WM is the most surprising as they just sat on Chaeyeon. They clearly have no trainees ready to go or could not find any way to make them work with Chaeyeon. I was expecting her to be the leader of a new group for them. It appears that OMG's bump up and renewal caught them.
With OMG now so successful they are trying to keep that running, but have not shown a plan for a next girl group.

In the past i would say there are 10-15 agencies where a girl might have had a chance to do well. Now with gg's becoming more fandom driven that may increase. Part of that is just because of how successful IZ*ONE was.

in the past some of the worst agencies have had strong groups (CCM, DSP[well that is harsh dsp was great until the guy die and his wif took over] TS)

some agencies like say Cube and pledis are good at making group but suck at running them. cube is dependent on lightning striking the group usually driven by one person see Hyuna and Soyeon. but clc and lightsum do not have that and cube looks clueless.

I'm not sure I get the Juri part, why was she so highly valued, she was not in IZ*one? There was another Juri?

Nako was actually thinking of graduating but she made IZ*ONE. She is graduating now and there are still rumor's that she and Hitomi are being wooed.
