but it could also be that the sith lords are ruling together (ie. colluding) division of power as oppose to fighting for total power - is that not a consideration? yes in theory, having less sith lords overall is better
but we also need to consider, that the opposing sith lord could keep you busy from causing harm to others, so potentially less harm is done overall. Also like I already said, striking him down could make you a lot more powerful. One more powerful sith lord could be a bigger problem than many weaker ones. This is the entire idea of the rule of 2, as you probably know only too well, your deception will not work on me!
you prefer me to not kill @ApinksBadPanda and thus we four sith lords will rule the galaxy as a Quadrumvirate!!
